Pulp molding is developing in the direction of environmental friendly sunrise industry

the development of pulp molding in China began in the mid-1980s, developed rapidly with the help of the trend of environmental protection and rational allocation of resources, and began to mature in the late 1990s. In the 21st century, China's pulp molding industry has gradually developed from a weak pilot project to an environmental friendly sunrise industry with extensive raw materials, smooth process, mature technology, stable equipment, a wide variety and complete categories. It has not only contributed to the growth of China's green packaging industry, but also has a place in the international environmental protection packaging industry

China established Hunan pulp molding plant in Xiangtan in the 1980s, and the first domestic pulp molding product production line was successfully developed on the basis of Taiwan equipment jointly by Nanjing Light Industry Research Institute and Jiangyin Machinery Factory 5 in 1987. It was put into trial production in Jiangsu Rugao carton factory that year. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, paper mold products were in the development stage, and in the middle and late 1990s, paper mold products entered the stage of large-scale commodity production, but compared with foreign developed countries, the overall scale and technical level were still at a low stage

in the 21st century, paper mold products are still advancing slowly on the whole. Relatively speaking, the development momentum of paper mold cushioning packaging products is better, while manufacturers mainly producing tableware products face more difficulties due to various factors. At present, there are more than 300 small and medium-sized paper mold products manufacturers in China. Among them, the number and output of paper mold products manufacturers in coastal areas are among the top in the country, and their technological level is also ahead of the country

it is undeniable that any kind of product has its advantages and disadvantages, and the young Chinese pulp molding industry is certainly no exception. But what is incomprehensible is that in the development process of pulp molding industry, it is almost constantly questioned and even criticized. One of the phenomena is that at the end of 1999, the former national economic and trade show issued Order No. 6, which explicitly ordered the elimination of disposable foamed plastic tableware. This naturally brings opportunities to the development of the paper mold industry, but in essence, it is due to the country's industrial adjustment and environmental protection needs. However, a considerable number of beneficiaries of foamed plastic tableware nationwide have pointed their spearheads at the pulp molding industry, focusing on the "inferior quality and high price" of paper tableware, and even asked the State Economic and Trade Commission to take back the order. In fact, eliminating foamed tableware does not mean improving paper tableware. The essence of market economy is "survival of the fittest". Are foamed tableware and paper tableware the exception? Then there is the problem of raw materials for pulp molding. In the late 1990s, it was proposed that pulp molding products use wood as pulp raw material, which destroys forest resources, so it should not be advocated. Some media did not know and followed the trend, trying to beat paper molding products into the cold palace. In fact, the main raw materials of paper mold products have always been annual herbs, such as reed, bagasse, etc. according to the process parameters and production practice, pure wood pulp as raw materials is not suitable for making paper mold products at all. Moreover, as an emerging industry, paper molded products use very little pulp. Theoretically, even if disposable tableware across the country are converted to paper molded products, its pulp consumption is less than 1% of the National Pulp consumption. In particular, pulp molded products are concerned by the industry for their distinctive characteristics, such as: a wide range of raw materials without damaging natural resources, in line with the requirements of modern industry and environmental protection policies; The production process is pollution-free, and the emissions meet the national standards, which can completely realize cleaner production; The product adapts to the diversified and complex requirements of the packaging, and has many functions such as water and moisture resistance; Compared with foamed plastic products, it also has good anti shock and shock absorption effects; After being used and discarded, it can realize 100% recycling or natural degradation without damaging the environment, etc

in addition, the price of paper tableware has been criticized by some people. Maybe they don't understand it. After many efforts, the price of paper tableware is almost the same as that of plastic lunch boxes

in my opinion, the development of pulp molding industry is currently plagued; It is nothing more than two major problems: one is to solve the raw materials, and the other is the innovation of process technology. If these two problems can be solved, the door of the market will be opened to paper mold products. The essence of raising raw material and process problems is to reduce the production cost of paper mold products and expand its rising space. In terms of raw materials, at present, the price of reed pulp board and bagasse pulp board in China is between 3500-3800 yuan/ton, and the purchase cost of waste paper products is also about 1000 yuan/ton (overcome the industrialization technology of high-performance fiber efficient preparation, and recycled pulp is not allowed for tableware products). According to the purchase cost of raw pulp, the raw material price of paper mold products is about 0.004 yuan/gram, so the raw material cost of a 20g paper mold tableware alone is about 0.08 yuan, and it is impossible to reduce it. In fact, sharing pulp with the paper industry and being affected by its price, this small is bigger, this weak is stronger, has always been a headache for the paper mold industry. Although the pulp consumption of paper mold products is small, the market competitiveness of paper mold products will be greatly reduced if there is no breakthrough in raw materials. Another big consumption of paper molded products is energy cost, which is mainly determined by its process flow. According to the usual process, the pulp board should be soaked and broken first, and then molded after being fully stirred, and then the wet paper blank should be dried to its original state, during which the energy cost should account for about 1/3 of the whole production cost. Although this is the traditional process route of paper products, due to the large thickness (humidity) and small output of paper molded products, the problem of energy consumption is very prominent. If new processes are not introduced for improvement, it will bring very adverse consequences to paper molded products. It can be said that the problem of raw materials and energy consumption is the biggest limitation of the current development of paper mold products. Fortunately, in recent years, many enterprises have noticed this problem, and are increasing the application of high-tech, giving full play to the multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary hybrid advantages of the paper mold industry, and introducing modern scientific and technological achievements into China's traditional papermaking technology, such as dry pulping technology, pulp foaming technology, additive comprehensive addition technology, isostatic pressing molding technology, microwave technology, far-infrared technology, and automobile forward lightweight Low energy consumption development technology, automatic control technology, etc. As far as I know, some experimental results have been published and are expected to be published in the near future. 1 The pressure of the pressure stabilizing valve spring is insufficient; When applied to the production of paper mold, we look forward to the good news from paper mold enterprises with full confidence

from the perspective of history and reality, the use and development of various emerging green packaging materials and their products have broad prospects for development. In the overseas market, since the EU banned foaming plastic packaging materials, the interface compatibility, reaction exothermic, curing speed and stability deserve attention; The fifth product import, especially after China's entry into WTO, paper mold products undoubtedly have great potential. In developed countries in Europe and the United States, paper packaging materials have accounted for more than 1/3 of the total packaging materials, while China's total use of paper products is far lower than that of developed countries in the world, and the use of new paper products is less, accounting for only about 1-2% of the total annual use of domestic packaging materials. According to the international conventions and the strict requirements of Europe and the United States on packaging materials, plus countries gradually reduce the use of wood to protect forests, after China's accession to the WTO, the demand for all kinds of packaging products that meet the international requirements will greatly increase, which will make China's paper mold industry face a market with greater capacity
